MIXED MARTIAL ARTS|
Upon the creation of our school, one of our main goals was to give students of all levels a chance to cross train in a variety of martial arts while enriching and raising awareness of Kyokushin Karate, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and other Martial Arts in Upstate New York. With that in mind, we offer several mixed art options, from the traditional to the contemporary. Whether for competition, self defense, or to get in the best shape of your life, we have a program for you. Built on our schools two pillar styles, Kyokushin Karate and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, we offer a powerful variety of programs for students to choose from. Other styles added into the mix can also include Boxing, Judo, Wrestling and Muay Thai. Each program putting strong emphasis on the critical fundamentals needed to create strong, disciplined well rounded martial artist. Regardless of which programs you chose, all will implement the traditional values of courtesy and respect on which our school is founded, values key to creating a productive and safe training environment.

MIXED MARTIAL ARTS (Kickboxing, No-Gi Jiu-Jitsu, Wrestling, Muay Thai and Ground Fighting)
Based strongly on Kyokushin and Brazialian Jiu-Jitsu techniques and philosophies this is our more contemporary Mixed Martial Arts option. Participants in this program will have full access to all of our No-Gi classes including K-21 Kickboxing, No-Gi Jiu-Jitsu, Wrestling Essentials, Boxing Fundamentals and MMA Ground Fighting. Once proper skills are acquired participants can also take part in live sparring both in house and at other gyms and mma facilities. Those under 18 must have signed parental consent to participate. Required sparring equipment includes MMA gloves, Boxing or Thai gloves (16 oz or higher), shin guards, cup, mouth piece and head gear required.
K-21 UMA (Kyokushin Karate, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Judo)
Ultimate Martial Arts is not only our premier mixed art program but also the only one of its kind in the area. Part of the uniqueness of this program is the fact it allows people to train and rank in Kyokushin Karate, Judo & Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. This combination of traditional styles is the foundation for one of the best fighters in MMA history UFC champion Sensei Georges St. Pierre, holding a third degree black belt in Kyokushin as well a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Available for all levels, adult participants will also have full access to Judo classes as well as all of the No-Gi Jiu Jitsu and Wrestling classes. Once proper skills are acquired participants can also take part in full contact partner drills and live sparring. Great for the true martial arts enthusiast as well as those wishing to fully develop unbreakable mind body and spirit.
K-21 FIGHT TEAM (Striking & Grappling)
Once students have reached a high enough level in the respective arts they may qualify to be part of our K-21 Fight Team. Within these invitation only classes, participants will focus on further honing their fighting skills for competition. Curriculum and gear requirements dependent on type of competition being trained for. Past classes have focused on everything from bare knuckle Kyokushin, kickboxing, to various mixed martial arts competitions. Due to the nature of these classes they are usually restricted to participants 18 and above. Those wishing to compete in MMA must first show proficiency in both the striking and grappling related arts.
